Course Description

The synthesis, manipulation, and modification of biological molecules including peptides, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, and other metabolites are essential to advances in biomedicine. This course surveys chemical methods for the production of these molecules and their application to biological problems. Deeper emphasis on complex peptide-based modifications and assemblies are addressed.
